Neither Team Fortress 2 nor DOTA 2 (free games) have any steam_appid.txt (on Linux at least). I can give you one or two windows games without steamDelete your Play Games profile and all Play Games data. If you delete your Play Games profile, all of your Play Games information will be deleted from your Account and your gamer name will become available to other users. Go to Delete a Service.
